Mussa Bin Bique : ウィキペディア英語版 | Mussa Bin Bique
Mussa Bin Bique is the first known ruler of Mozambique before the Portuguese overrun Mozambique during the 1550s and the period leading to the colonial rule of much of Africa. ==Background== The name of the African nation of Mozambique is derived from its 16th century ruler Mussa Bin Bique. The Portuguese couldn't say the name and they just written the region's name as the best they could pronounce it and it became "Mozambique" instead of Mussa Bin Bique. The Europeans have mistakenly misnamed other regions and cities including Manila and Gibraltar. Gibraltar was named after its Arab name Jabal Tariq or Mountain of Tariq.
